UPEDS is an app and web-based platform offering same-day delivery services for individuals and businesses through a network of verified, independent drivers. They contacted LeewayHertz to develop their web platform as well as a mobile app – which is promoted by UPEDS as the primary way to do business with them.
The app allows users to register for a UPEDS account and then request and schedule a pickup of a package for delivery. The end-to-end real-time GPS tracking feature shows users a map with the route of the delivery, the driver’s progress and details, and the estimated time of delivery. Notifications can be provided by the app as well as by text and email. When a package is successfully delivered, a secure payment is made automatically from the customer’s account. The app includes an easy method to cancel orders and the ability to call customer support in case of any problems.
